THE ART OF WAR IN THE BUSINESS WORLD !

"If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.

If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.

If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle"

General Sun Tzu in the Master Treatise "ART OF WAR"

Sun Tzu was born into minor nobility in what is now Shan Dong, a part of China north of Shanghai.

Born by the name "Sun Wu", he received a good education and grew up to write a military treatise "ART OF WAR" in order to get noticed and hired by royalty.

Sun Wu wrote 82 chapters and eventually ended up training the Chinese Provincial Army.  He was always victorious. He invaded the entire southern State of Yue.  The Army under his guidance won every War.

Once his troops were once outnumbered 30,000 to 200,000, yet he was unbeaten.  Many successes followed and continued after his death.  Some considered his death to be another of his deceptions.

Even over 100 years later, his descendant, Sun Bing, also lead the troops to victory.

As a mark of respect, Sun Wu's name was changed to Sun Tzu as a sign of his status - as a Master of the Philosophy of War.
